1. Agreement

By accessing or using ScreenshotDEV ("Service"), operated by ScreenshotDEV ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old or have the legal authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of an organization.

2. Service Description

ScreenshotDEV provides an API and web-based platform for programmatically capturing screenshots and generating PDF documents from websites and HTML content. The Service includes the API, dashboard, CLI, SDKs, documentation, and any related tools or services we make available.

3. Account & API Keys

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and API keys confidential.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account or API keys, whether authorized by you or not.
  • You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Capture, store, or distribute illegal, abusive, or pornographic content.
  • Violate the rights of any third party, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Distribute malware, phishing pages, or any other malicious content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Perform cryptocurrency mining, credential stuffing, or automated scraping of third-party websites in violation of their terms.
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent.
  • Use the Service in any way that could impair its performance or availability for other users.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access immediately and without notice if we determine that your usage violates these terms or is harmful to the Service or other users.

5. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service — including the API, documentation, website, branding, and underlying technology — remain our exclusive property. You may use screenshots and PDFs generated through the Service for your own personal or commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or resell the Service itself, its documentation, or any part of its interface.

6. Pricing, Billing & Cancellation

  • The free tier provides a limited number of screenshots per month at no cost.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Prices are listed on our pricing page.
  • If you exceed your plan's included volume, additional screenshots will be billed at the overage rate specified on your plan.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions will remain at their current rate until the next renewal.

7. Refund Policy

If you are unsatisfied with the Service for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first paid subscription. Contact [email protected] to request a refund. After the 14-day window, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

8. Service Availability & Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We perform regular maintenance and will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of planned downtime. We are not liable for any losses resulting from temporary unavailability.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScreenshotDEV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScreenshotDEV, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Data & Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Screenshots and PDFs you generate through the Service are stored temporarily for delivery and caching purposes. We do not access, analyze, or sell the content of your captures. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with applicable data protection laws, including when capturing content from third-party websites.

12. Rate Limits & Fair Use

API usage is subject to rate limits as described in our documentation. We reserve the right to throttle or temporarily restrict access if usage patterns indicate abuse or risk to Service stability. Sustained abuse may result in account suspension.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin, Germany.
